The Kentish Sweet Cart Company aim to deliver outstanding customer care and adhere to all current legislation. The conditions below do not affect your statutory rights according to United Kingdom Law, including all the current guidelines relating to the information we hold about you.
The terms and conditions apply to this website and by visiting www.thekentishsweetcartco.co.uk or by placing an order with The Kentish Sweet Cart Company, you confirm that you have read these terms and conditions and agree to adhere to them in their entirety. If you do not agree to these terms and conditions, you must not use this Website/Place an order.
All requests for Sweet Cart Hire/Dessert Tables/Cakes for your event/function must be confirmed by submitting the relevant booking form/contract and receipt of payment of deposit which will be 50% of the total balance. The deposit shall be non refundable.
All prices are charged in UK pounds. We reserve the right to revise prices for any increase in costs, but we will take all reasonable steps to notify you of any relevant revision of prices before processing your order. We will not increase the costs once an order has been confirmed and a booking placed unless the customer requests additional items or alterations.
DISCLAIMER & RELEASE OF LIABILITY
Please note that pictures are for general illustration only and the product may vary from that shown. The Kentsh Sweet Cart Company reserves the right to take photographic images of the Sweet Cart or Ordered items at your event and use them in marketing material and on our website. We reserve the right to display details of our corporate clients on our website for marketing purposes. The Kentish Sweet Cart Company will make every effort to produce and ensure safe delivery of your order . Once delivery and /or set up is complete, The Kentish Sweet Cart Company shall accept no responsibility for your staff’s, guests, florist’s, caterer’s or any other persons acts with regard to your order. We will accept no liability for any damage incurred to orders including wedding cakes once they been collected or delivered and set up. The customer assumes responsibility for correct storage and display of the order. A signature will be required to confirm that goods have been received in perfect condition.
The customer asumes responsibility for the safety of guests/staff, The Kentish Sweet Cart Company accepts no liability for personal injury or damage to property caused as a result of use of our products or services. Children must not be left unattended and must be supervised using scoops,tongs and glasswear and edible items.
CANCELLATIONS & AMMENDMENTS
In addition to the non-refundable deposit:
All ammendments must be made more than 1 month prior to the Wedding/Event Date, customers ordering Fruit cakes who wish to change their mind must give 8 weeks notice as fruit cakes are made approximately 6-8 weeks before the event. Major ammendments will incur additional costs. Any cancellations for Wedding Cakes made 4-8 weeks prior to wedding date will incurr 50% final balance payable or within 28 days of the Wedding date will result in the full final balance payable.
You will be required on your Confirmation of booking to read our full T&C’s and complete and sign a booking contract. We reserve the right to make minor ammendments or substitutions where items are not available and will contact the customer to offer an alternative.
A non-refundable deposit of 50% of the total balance will be required with booking form to secure your date. The remaining balance must be paid in full no later than 28 days prior to your event. We currently accept payment via cash, cheque (payable to The Kentish Sweet Cart Company) or via BACS transfer.
A £100 deposit Sweet Cart Hire/£85 deposit multiple item hire(eg. candy buffet) /£25 deposit for individual hire items (cake stands/signs) will be requested with your final payment to cover any losses or breakages by any person other than our own staff, of equipment provided on the day. This will be refunded in full if nothing is damaged or missing at the end of the event/upon return of hire items within agreed time. Any breakages/losses will be charged at cost of item.
Online Shop Transactions
When you place an online order with us (by choosing an item and completing our online checkout process), we will send you an acknowledgement by email. This will detail the products you have ordered. Please note that your completion of the checkout process does not constitute our acceptance of your order. Our acceptance of your order only takes place when we despatch it. A ‘purchase contract’ between you and The Kentish Sweet Cart Company is therefore made at the point of despatch, and not at the point of ordering or payment. If you have cancelled your order within the permissible time period , or if we notify you that we cannot accept your order, then no purchase contract will have been made.
We reserve the right to cancel your order at any time and issue a full refund. This does not affect your statutory rights
At The Kentish Sweet Cart Company payment is accepted by ‘PayPal’ for all online shop transactions.
Orders are dispatched within three working days by Royal Mail or by National Courier depending on size of order. Charges will be calculated at checkout before order is placed.
Returns and Refunds
You have the right to cancel order and return goods within seven days of receipt of online order provided that items are unused and remain in packaging. Please contact us to request a return before posting. Refund will be issued upon receipt of return.
